The body has been identified as that of Suresh Maheshwari of Bhind and it was found about 100 metres from the Kanera Irrigation Project site, the kidnap site.
The five hostages were found at Gohra village under Kheda Rathod Police Station area of Agra district in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh yesterday, police said here today.
Earlier, the dacoits set them free in the jungles of Kheda Rathod after both police from the two states exerted pressure on the kidnappers, police said. After trekking, the five hostages reached a school in Gohra village around 4 am yesterday where villagers after arranging food for them informed the police officials about the safe release of the hostages.
The five persons, who were rescued from the clutches of dacoits are: A site engineer of an Indore-based private firm Sharad Jhanwar (32), mechanic Dilip Ojha (35), Gunman Santosh Pachouri, driver Salim and Abhimanyu Tripathi of Gorakhapur, police said.
