Over three lakh devotees visit 'Bade Mahadev'

MORE THAN THREE lakh devotees visited 'Bade Mahadev' at Chouragarh in Pachmarhi on the occasion of Mahashivratri on Sunday. Heavy turnout of devotees was also witnessed at Jatashankar, Gupt Mahadev and other religious places in Pachmarhi.

Heavy turnout of devotees was also witnessed at Jatashankar, Gupt Mahadev and other religious places in Pachmarhi.  Amidst Bhajan and Kirtan, devotees offered flowers and performed pooja of Lord Shiva.

Collector Faiz Ahmad Kidwai, Superintendent of Police AK Singh, SDM Sunil Dubey,   SDOP Samar Verma and TI CP Dwivedi personally took stock of arrangements all through the day.

Additional tehsildar Rajesh Shah, nayab tehsildar AK Soni were in charge of security and other arrangements in the City. Health department deputed Dr Rai and Dr Ajay Gupta for medical help at Mahadev temple.

The visitors, however, were seen struggling for drinking water, it was reported. Although, private vehicles were arranged, people still faced problem on this account.
