Pawar back in action
Sharad Pawar has decided to launch a whirlwind tour of 21 constituencies in Maharashtra.
Barely two days after being discharged from a Mumbai hospital after undergoing surgery, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar has decided to launch a whirlwind tour of 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra, beginning April 16.
“Since Pawar shoulders a major responsibility of the newly formed Congress-NCP alliance in the state, he has decided not to waste time anymore and resume campaigning,” NCP sources said.
Pawar would cover 21 constituencies in the state, including Baramati. He will also visit constituencies in the Vidharbha region, and address 30 rallies during his tour from April 16-24.
Meanwhile, reacting to the recent Supreme Court order shifting Best Bakery trial to Maharashtra, Pawar said that the move was a “slap on the face of the Centre and the Gujarat government”.
