Polling for 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat and two constituencies in Union Territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra ended on Tuesday.

Polling for 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat and two constituencies in Union Territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli ended today.

The fate of 162 candidates was decided by nearly 3.34 crore voters at the hustings.

Prominent candidates whose fate was decided today include Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani (Gandhinagar), union ministers Harin Pathak (Ahmedabad), Kashiram Rana (Surat), Bhavna Chikhliya (Junagadh) and Dr Vallabh Kathiriya (Rajkot).

Polling was held in Kutch, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Porbander, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dhanduka, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Kapadvanj, Dahod, Godhra, Kaira, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Baroda, Bharuch, Surat, Mandvi and Bolsad parliamentary constituencies.

Two seats of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli also went to polls on Tuesday.
