The ongoing Rajya Sabha session is likely to adjourn on August 25 in view of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat announced in the House that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) had recommended that there would be no sitting of the House on August 28, 29 and 30.

The BAC decided that the House would sit up to 1800 hrs or beyond each day in the remaining days of the session, he said.
As per earlier schedule, the session was to conclude on August 30.
