Castigating the ruling Congress government over cancellation of land lease to Patanjali Yogpeeth at Kehlog village near Sadhupul, members of Bharat Swabhiman today said the government should realise that establishment of Yogpeeth's branch was solely aimed at facilitating people and farming community of Himachal.
In a statement issued here, chief central in charge of Bharat Swabhiman, Haridwar, Rakesh Kumar said the management had proposed to set up its branch on no profit basis and if the government did not consider its decision, the proposed branch would be established elsewhere in the country.
He said the members and followers would neither indulge in any violence nor violate law, but would launch a massive campaign against the Congress.
Kumar said, "Our basic objective is to serve the people of Himachal, but it appears that the Congress high command is against the common masses."
He said the government should also realise that the land leased out to Yogpeeth, the investment of over Rs 10 crore and other resources of the trust originally belonged to common people, hence, cancellation of lease was an enough indication that a particular faction of the Congress was against the common man.
