On Friday, the student leaders once again disrupted the PG admission process demanding seat hike in various departments including Geography and Hindi. The student leaders backed by a large number of supporters forced the dealing clerks and the teachers to stop the admissions amidst raising of slogans. At some of the departments, the student leaders also believed to have misbehaved with some of the teachers who tried to convince them to leave their departments without disrupting the admissions.

Upset over the repeated disruptions, head of the AU Hindi department Prof Satya Prakash Mishra on Friday afternoon shot off a letter to the AU proctor Prof Jata Shankar informing him that the student leaders have once again disrupted the admissions of MA-I for the forthcoming academic session in his department. Prof Mishra in his letter informed the Proctor that he was forced to stop the admissions at around 12 noon due to the agitating student leaders and made it clear in the letter that it will not be possible for him to resume the admissions unless the varsity provide adequate security to him and his staff members.

On being contacted, Prof Jata Shankar confirmed receiving the letter from the head of the Hindi department and said that the varsity administration is determined to ensure a smooth admission process and would take all necessary steps to ensure that its teachers face no problems in carrying out their responsibilities.
