Restoration of democracy in Nepal hailed

Expressing his views, Sangh coordinator Markandey Singh said the royal proclamation marked the victory of the pro-democratic forces in Nepal. He said if people of Nepal had not hit the streets, restoration of democracy may have taken much longer. He expressed hope that everything would be settled through dialogue.
On this occasion, members of the Sangh welcomed former Nepal Member of Parliament Sagar Pathak and garlanded him. They assured that people of Gorakhpur would always welcome him and support the struggle for democracy.
Sagar said the Seven-Party Alliance would draw up a roadmap to restore full democracy in Nepal.
They also distributed sweets and expressed thanks to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who had sent former Cabinet minister Karan Singh to Nepal and claimed that India and Nepal had unshakable cultural relations.
Dr Bhawani Shanker, Laxmi Chand Singhania, Khawaja Ziauddin, Rais Ahmad, Ganesh Mishra and others also expressed their views on this occasion and said people of Nepal would have heaved a sigh of relief after the 19-day struggle for democracy.
