RLD to launch stir against UP Govt
THE RASHTRIYA Lok Dal (RLD) has decided to launch an agitation against the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government for acquiring farmers? land for builders. The RLD, which is an ally of the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP), said that it would not allow sale of farmers land to builders. Party general secretary Anil Dubey said that the decision was taken at the State executive committee meeting here on Sunday. Dubey said that the party would launch the stir to force the government to withdraw the decision.

The RLD, which is an ally of the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP), said that it would not allow sale of farmers land to builders. Party general secretary Anil Dubey said that the decision was taken at the State executive committee meeting here on Sunday. Dubey said that the party would launch the stir to force the government to withdraw the decision.
The RLD has also decided to stage a dharna at the district headquarters on August 7. State president Ram Asre Verma also called upon the workers to strengthen the organisation.
He said that a two-day training camp would be held in Chiktrakoot on July 27 and 28 to review the preparation for the State assembly elections and civic polls. RLD chief Ajit Singh would attend the camp, he said. Similarly, public rallies would be organised in all the districts and a weavers’ conference would be held in Lucknow on August 12, he added.
