RPF condemns killing of migrant workers
The banned Revolutionary People's Front says it had nothing to do with the killing of 15 migrant labourers in Manipur.
The banned Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) on Thursday said it had nothing to do with the killing of 15 migrant labourers in Manipur.
In a statement issued by RPF, political wing of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) which has been fighting for an 'independent Manipur', condemned the systematic killing of migrant workers in the state saying that its fight 'was against the Government of India and not Indians'.
The RPF statement followed the reported statement of Imphal West district Superintendent of Police L Kailun that PLA was suspected to be behind the incidents.
Kailun made the statement to a news organisation, said the outfit.
The banned outfit said Kailun made his remark without verifying facts and without going into the details of the case.
Kailun was not immediately available for comment.
