Replying to a query whether the Sangh would support Bharti or BJP in the elections in future, former RSS spokesman said “the Sangh has a relation with the BJP and we will support it”. On whether the RSS will try to bring back Bharti into BJP, Madhav said the issue was between Bharti and the BJP. He was participating in a Meet the Press programme at the Press Club here today.
To another query on the RSS ideologue MG Vaidhya praising Congress president Sonia Gandhi for her recent resignation as MP and NAC chairperson, the senior RSS leader said the RSS had no comment as it is a political issue. “It is his personal view, it has nothing to do with RSS,” he said.
Ram Madhav was in the City to participate in the birth anniversary programmes of RSS founder leader late ‘Guruji’ Madhav Golwalkar at Ravindra Natya Griya today.
On the former BJP national organisation general secretary Sanjay Joshi CD case, Ram Madhav said the entire issue was a conspiracy to defame the RSS. “He (Joshi) will come clean soon,” he said.
The RSS leader said on the occasion of Guruji’s birth centenary year, the RSS was aiming to focus on bringing social equality in the society. The RSS will organise Hindu Sammelans at block levels across the country as part of Guruji birth centenary celebration, which got underway
on March 24 at Nagpur and will continue till February 18 next year. As part of this programme, the RSS is aiming to increase the ‘Shakhas’ from the present 51,000 to around 70,000, Madhav said.
Expressing the RSS’s concern over casteism and related violence in society, the RSS leader said casteism was growing in the country mainly because politicians were using it for votes. “The RSS will focus on rooting out this social evil from the society,” he said.
Criticising the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre for its Minority appeasement policy, the RSS leader said this would create terrorism in the country.
