As per information, flying squads of the education department conducted raids at various examination centres and suspended four supervisors in Varanasi district and three supervisors in Ghazipur district on Tuesday. As many as 32 copy-cats were also nabbed by the flying squads.
District Inspector of Schools Onkar Shukla suspended a room supervisor in Tulsidas Inter College (Anei) while his associate Dr Dinesh Kumar Singh Kushwaha suspended two room supervisors in Netaji Inter College (Barki) in Varanasi. A room supervisor was suspended in JC Higher Secondary School (Sabhaipur) in Varanasi.
Basic Shiksha Adhikari Dr Vinod Kumar Rai conducted a raid at Hanuman Singh Inter College in Ghazipur and nabbed four copy-cats from there. A room supervisor was suspended in this centre. Two room supervisors were suspended in Adarsh Shanker Higher Secondary School and Gautam Higher Secondary School in Ghazipur.
Meanwhile, a large number of girl students, who were appearing in the High School Home Science examination at Matadeen Sukul Intermediate College in Rohania were surprised when the question paper of mathematics was distributed among them on Tuesday. However, soon after the incident, the centre manager swung into action and got the paper of Home Science distributed among the students.
Sources said that a large number of girl students were given mathematics paper of High School due to some misunderstanding.
When the students drew the attention of the teachers to this mistake, the room supervisors informed the centre manager who immediately got the Home Science paper distributed among the students. However, around half-an-hour of the students was wasted in the entire exercise and they were not given any additional time.
Meanwhile, the authorities of Uttar Pradesh Higher Secondary Board have increased an assessment centre in Varanasi district. Now the assessment of answer sheets will be held at six centres in Varanasi district this year.
Sources said that the assessment of answer sheets will begin from April 12.
Evaluation will be held at Government Queens College (Lahurabeer), Prabhu Narayan Inter College (Ramnagar), Bharatiya Shiksha Mandir Inter College (Englishialine), BP Gujrat Vidya Mandir Inter College (Bhaironath), Mahabodhi Inter College (Sarnath) and Ram Krishna Vidya Mandir Inter College (Siddhgiribagh).
