Close on the heels of a chintan bhaitak by the BJP, its saffron ally Shiv Sena would hold a closed-door conclave at nearby Uttan from Wednesday to fine tune its strategy on the crucial Assembly polls next year.

The conclave or nirdhar shibir would be held at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, where the BJP earlier held its meeting. The brain-storming session to be inaugurated by the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, Narayan Rane, would be attended by various Sena MLAs, MPs and senior party leaders, party sources said.
Prof SG Shiwde would deliver a lecture on the concept of Hindutva during the first session.
Charismatic Sena leader Raj Thackeray would also share the Sena's vision on the occasion.
Chandrahas Raut would deliberate on the financial crunch and what ails the state's economy while the prevailing drought in various parts of the state and burning issue of water scarcity would be taken up for discussion by Milind Bokil.
Senior party leader, Subhash Desai would throw light on the forthcoming elections, party organisation and electoral representatives while Bharat Kumar Raut of Maharashtra Times would speak on utilising the media. V Sahasrabuddhe, director general of the centre would speak on modern management.
Senior leaders, including Pramod Navalkar, Dataji Nalwade, Leeladhar Dhake, Satish Pradhan, Madhukar Satpodar, Sudhir Joshi, Diwakar Raote, would be among those who would be participating in the two-day conclave.
The session would conclude with the party's executive president, Uddhav Thackeray addressing the shibir.
