One reporter, overwhelmed by the presence of so many famous stars, hardly began her question before breaking down in tears.

Another reporter asked the stars if they'd consider making a meal out of villainous sea monster, Davy Jones, played by Bill Nighy.

"I am still intrigued by the idea of Bill as sashimi. I suddenly have this image of me sailing the seas trying to scoop pieces of Bill into a roll," said Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow.

Then Geoffrey Rush, who plays the scar-faced pirate Captain Barbossa, jumped in.

"I have got a lot of latex, a lot of rubber on my face. Apparently if you boil this up as a simple soup, its quite pungent and a little chewy and it makes a very nice appetiser before the Davey Jones dish," he said.

Even Orlando Bloom, who plays Will Turner, got in the act, while Nighy sat by with a calm smirk on his face.

"There is nothing like a bit of calamari for the table. He's a very tasty meal, I believe," Orlando said.

Depp told his adoring audience that even if this is the last movie in the trilogy, his character will never die.

"If it is over, if the Pirates series is over, which one never knows, I reckon Captain Jack will always be with me anywhere, just visit him at home now and again," he said.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End reunites Depp, Bloom, Rush and actress Keira Knightley as they set sail in an epic adventure that pits them against the terrifying ghost ship captained by the sea monster Davey Jones, who is bent on destroying pirate ships without mercy.
