Of the three brothers, Mohd Khairul sneaked into India about 7 years ago via Kolkata. From here, he went to Nagpur, Gorakhpur and then reached Varanasi.

Here, Khairul picked up a job with Parivaar Bakery situated in the industrial area after introducing himself as Deepu Sarkar son of Pratap Sarkar and resident of Maniktalla, Kolkata.

Khairul also moved into a rented apartment in Manduadeeh. STF sleuths claim that here he came in touch with members of Harkat-Ul-Jrhad-Al-Islam and got into anti-national activities. “He was regularly in touch with members of the terror outfit over phone,” STF officials said.

Similarly, Mohd Kaisar also arrived in India via Kolkata-Gorakhpur route and then shifted to Lucknow with brother Khairul about 2 years back. He picked up a job with Milkmade Biscuit Factory at Blunt Square and started living on the factory compound. He introduced himself as Sonu Sarkar son of Narayan Sarkar resident of Blunt Square, near Roop General Store, Alambagh.

What’s more, he also got a ration card no 255591 made in his name and subsequently got a mobile phone connection too after producing his ration card as identity of his being an Indian residing at Lucknow. From his mobile phone, he kept contact with several people in Bangladesh. “Besides, he also regularly kept contact with some members of banned terror outfits in Dubai and South Africa,” STF sleuths claimed. Kausar had also applied for a passport on the basis of his fake identity. This became known after the STF found an affidavit that he had submitted for getting his passport made on March 22 this year. Significantly, no one in Milkmade Factory ever suspected Kaisar of indulging in any anti-national activity.

The workers knew him as Sonu Sarkar. STF sleuths also found details of Sonu Kausal Krishna Pav Roti Private Limited, Kathmandu and Sonu Sethi Chahana Pav Roti Private Limited, Kausaltar, Bhaktpur, Nepal.

The third brother Mohd Yaar arrived in Lucknow about three months back and started working in Milkmade Biscuit Factory. Yaar was called to Lucknow by Kaisar to assist him. Yaar was introduced as Deepak son of Narayan Sarkar.

STF sleuths said that the three brothers kept on going to Bangladesh illegally throughout their stay.

STF sleuths also discovered that another brother Roshan Ali alias Roshan Shajar, lives in South Africa. “We have contacted the central security agencies to get some details about him,” STF sources said. Khairul, Kaisar and Yaar, STF sources said, kept on meeting members of some banned terror outfits and exchanged vital information with them.

SSP STF SK Bhagat, after being tipped off about some terror outfits having set up a base in the city, set up different teams under the supervision of ASP, Rajesh Pandey and Jai Prakash, deputy superintendent of police.
