Highly skilled Indian expatriates willing to come back for filling the gap in workforce are finding stringent laws the biggest stumbling block, reports Chetan Chauhan.
Highly skilled Indian expatriates willing to come back for filling the gap in workforce are finding stringent laws the biggest stumbling block, a study conducted by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) said.
Bureaucratic hassles and work visas that do not permit most foreigners to switch jobs easily are the main issues that dissuade them from coming to India with most settling for other Asian destinations like China, Hongkong and Singapore.

Foreigners are looking for jobs in India because of jobs cuts, outsourcing and high tax structure in western countries, still the number of foreigners working in India amount to 20,000-30,000 as compared to one lakh expats in China, said IACC president Deepak Panwa.
