Swamy and others file papers

Janata Party candidate Subramanian Swamy filed his nomination papers for Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu on the last day for filing papers on April 23, 2004.
Former Union Minister and Janata party candidate Subramanian Swamy and several other independents filed their nomination papers in all the 39 Lok sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu on the last day for filing papers on Friday.
Swamy filed his papers in Madurai. He was accompanied by state unit President and former IAS officer, Chandralekha and partymen.

Around 70 nomination papers were filed in the three constituencies in the metropolis, most of them from independents.
Till yesterday, a total of 433 nomination papers were filed in all the 39 seats. A total of 172 papers were filed on the penultimate day yesterday.
