Teenager commits suicide over CBSE result

Failure in the CBSE board examination drove a 17-year-old boy to shoot himself to death in Kanpur's Naobasta area.
Depressed after failing in the CBSE class XII examination, a 17-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his father's revolver in Naobasta area here today. Pawan Kumar, the son of a jeweller, took the licensed revolver of his father and shot himself at his house in Hamirpur Road of Naobasta, police said.
He died on the spot.

The boy had failed in the CBSE board examination, the results of which were announced today, police said. Police are investigating the case after sending the body for post-mortem.
