The Rule of the Game is a black tragi-comedy about three groups of greedy characters whose fate is woven together on one unlucky night. Turtle is tricked by his sly business partner, Will.
He decides to bump him off with help from his enthusiastic pal, Chewy. Chewy has a rule about killing: "To kill is easy; to bury is difficult." A successful murder relies on how well you dig a hole.
Chewy is excited about this digging plan, prepares tools, and waits for three days for his target to show up. Wait, shoot, get paid, and go home. That's his rule. Will plans another business rip-off, unaware of the dangerous threat, not just from Turtle, but also from his girl friend who is planning to con his money with a kidnapping scheme.
Fate has brought them together in a small town. They all follow the golden rules. The hole is ready. But who will end up as the victim of the game?
