Police said Atmaram Siraskar (49), who owned two acres of land and had borrowed money from a bank, ended his life by hanging yesterday, police said.
Similarly, Ramkrishna Amrut Chincholkar (59), residing in Devarda village of Akot Taluka also ended his life by hanging.
In the third incident, a 22-year-old farmer Rajesh Sopan Tekade of Chandur Khadki consumed poison on April 3 and was declared dead, police said.
According to reports from other parts of the region, Haribhau Baliram Gawande, a farmer hailing from Matargaon near Jalamb in adjoining Buldhana district committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a running train near Jalamb Railway Station yesterday.
With the Centre's farm loan waiver scheme to be implemented from July 1 this year, these fresh incidents of farmers ending their lives become significant.
