A youth was shot dead and a 55-year-old woman also died of heart attack on seeing his body, police said.
Irate people blocked the Garh road near the hospital, where both of them were admitted.
Late at night, the police restored traffic movement.
Six persons have been arrested and Mudali police station SHO Vaseem Khan has been suspended for dereliction of duty, SSP Deepak Kumar said.
The situation is under control and police have been deployed in large numbers to prevent any further clashes.
