His APS identified as Purhottam Parashar, who was in a separate vehicle in the cavalcade of Scindia, was forced to stay back when his vehicle punctured on the national highway.

Four masked men reached the spot and started beating them and snatched valuables from them when they were changing the tyre of the vehicle, they said. The injured APS was rushed to Shivpuri for treatment.

Scindia expressed shock over the incident. He said he was surprised at the situation that prevailed in the region that not even spared his personal staff.
