Nilankur Das adds from Guwahati

Even as a calm and composed Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked towards the square-leg umpire after Piyush Chawla caught James Hopes with Australia nine runs adrift, Sourav Ganguly celebrated in a better way away here.

He watched the first half of the match alone in his suite but for the second session, he came down and joined the rest of the Bengal team. "It is a great, great win for India," he said, walking towards coach Bharathi Arun's room. "There is no point comparing it with any other victory abroad. This is a historic win for India," he said.

Ganguly also complimented Sachin Tendulkar. "I have said before that he is a genius. He is playing exceedingly well and he has again done it for us in the finals," Ganguly said.
