Vijaya Pathak of Mahila Utpidan Virodhi Morcha today said that the organisation would take the case to the National and State Commission for Women as also the MP Human Rights Commission.
Pathak presented Anina Bee, the ousted Sarpanch of village Bicchua of Sohagpur block in Hoshangabad district, to the media persons today. Anina Bee claimed that although she had undertaken considerable number of development works in her village and was honoured at a state level women Panchayat members’ convention, she was removed as she had refused to pay commission to Sohagpur sub divisional officer (SDO) Manoj Yadav and some other officials.
Vijya Pathak alleged that Anina Bee is now being threatened for life by the officials and said, if necessary, she would take the case to the court. She said that the Sarpanch belonging to minority community was removed under a conspiracy by Yadav and Panchayat officer Narayan Singh Thakur.
