Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) by 1 run to clinch the IPL 2017 title. Mitchell Johnson (3/26) bowled a brilliant final over to cancel out Steve Smith’s fighting half century for RPS.Batting first, Krunal Pandya scored 47 as MI reached 129/8 in 20 overs. Mitchell Johnson took 3/26 to guide Mumbai Indians to the IPL 2017 title - their third in Indian Premier League history. The Aussie fast bowler produced a brilliant performance in the final over as MI completed a narrow victory over Rising Pune Supergiant. Steve Smith’s 50-ball-51 went in vain as they lost wickets in a heap towards the end. Earlier, Jaydev Unadkat and Dan Christian bowled brilliantly to restrict Mumbai Indians to 129/8 against Rising Pune Supergiant. Krunal Pandya was the top-scorer for MI with a 38-ball-47.
