PETA India worked with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur West and the Bhankrota Police Station’s Station House Officer to help get the FIR registered under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Section 377 of IPC states whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description for a term, which may extend to ten years ans shall also be liable to fine.

In a statement, PETA India warned if released, the man could go on to abuse a human in the same way.

“Violent people often start by abusing animals and then move on to targeting human victims. Therefore, this case should worry everyone,” said Meet Ashar of PETA India.
