Three cowherds killed in explosion

Three cowherds, including a minor girl, were killed while another was injured when a bomb exploded in their house in Ajmer, police said.

Three cowherds, including a minor girl, were killed while another was injured when a bomb, which they had found from a field, exploded in their house at Rajusi village in Ajmer district on Tuesday, police said.

The bomb, which was found by the cowherds while grazing their animals close to the Nasirabad army range, went off when they were trying to break it open in their house, sources told PTI.

The deceased have been identified as Nathusara Mohammed (50) and his daughter, Rafita (12), sources said, adding that Kuldeep (14), who was critically injured, succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

Meanwhile, the injured, Amin (14) son of the deceased Mohammed, has been admitted to an Ajmer hospital.

The sub-divisional magistrate accompanied by police officials rushed to the site of the incident, sources said.
