Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday accused his uncle Shivpal Yadav, without taking his name, to be in collusion with BJP, even as he denied that he expelled Shivpal from the party. Akhilesh, in fact, said his uncle got him expelled from the party.

BSP chief Mayawati and RLD president Ajit Singh also addressed the rally.

“Conspiracies are being hatched against us and falsehood is being spread that we have expelled him (Shivpal) from Samajwadi Party and insulting him. It is totally false. Let anybody produce such expulsion letter issued by me,” said Akhilesh.

‘In fact, it was he (Shivpal Yadav) who convinced Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) to expel me and other party leaders (Ram Gopal Yadav),” said Akhilesh, bringing back memories of the dispute in the Saifai family before assembly UP elections in 2017.

“There were meetings between him (Shivpal) and BJP on the sly, for which he was awarded by the UP chief minister with by bungalow where BSP chief Mayawati resided. This all happened when we were thrown out of our house in Lucknow,” alleged Akhilesh while blaming his uncle for planning to defeat of Samajwadi Party.

“So be aware of these people and vote for Akshay Yadav’s  success,” Akhilesh appealed to the gathering.

Akhilesh claimed that BJP will receive a huge setback in Uttar Pradesh in this election and in the first two phases will not be able to open its account. He said the alliance of BSP, SP and RLD will not only give a new prime minister but a new government to the nation too. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was prime minister of only one per cent rich and affluent of the country.

Addressing the gathering, Mayawati blamed BJP for misusing government agencies, including CBI, ED and others to target political opponents. Mayawati asked the people to vote for Akshay.

“There will none from ‘Namo Namo’ but it would Jai Bhim people who will come to power this time. None of the drama by BJP leaders will succeed.  All chowkidars will face defeat because the prime minister had made false promises to fool the masses in 2014 elections but has not fulfilled even one fourth of them. Instead he has helped the rich,” she alleged.

“Farmers are in trouble because of the government’s policy and also because of stray animals damaging crops. The BJP government at the centre, much alike the Congress regime in the past, has failed to help the deprived and thus they, too, would be uprooted,” she alleged.

“After BJP, Congress too is making false promises and thus both are losing power in states. The voters should not fall in trap of such false promises. If we come to power at the centre, the most poor in society would be given permanent jobs,” she said.

Targeting Modi, RLD president Ajit Singh said he claims to be faqeer (seer) but wears suit and hat.
