Teenage couple found hanging from tree in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur

A teenage couple -- belonging to different communities -- allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a tree in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur, police said on Sunday.

The bodies of the 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl, were found hanging from a tree on Sunday morning in Dugauli village in Sikrara area

Both of them were stated to be in love but their family members did not approve of their relationship.

They had left their home three months ago but later came back, police said.

Police are probing the matter and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
