Egyptian woman Eman Ahmed leaves Mumbai hospital, rests at airport before flight to Abu Dhabi

Egyptian woman Eman Ahmed, once the world’s heaviest woman, rested in a specially equipped ambulance at the Mumbai International Airport before leaving for Abu Dabi.
Sources said she was wheeled inside at 4.15pm.
“Her flight was scheduled for 6pm. Till then, Ahmed was in the ambulance with paramedics, intensivists and her treating doctors from Burjeel Hospital on standby. She is fit and healthy to fly,” said officials from VPS Healthcare.
Officials said she will fly in a cargo aircraft of Egyptair, which has been turned into an air ambulance for the six-hour journey from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi.
Eman has lost over 330kg during her 82-day stay at Saifee Hospital.
“It is an achievement for doctors from Maharashtra, I am extremely proud of them,” said Dr Deepak Sawant, health minister who had come to specially see her off at Saifee Hospital this afternoon.
