Two AK-47 rifles were recovered, he said.

The infiltration bid came days after the NIA arrested a suspected Pakistani national who entered India to attack security forces and fuel more unrest in the Valley. Described as a big terror catch, Bahadur Ali was arrested on Tuesday following an encounter with security forces, also in Kupwara. Four other terrorists were gunned down.

The terror suspect was believed to be on a suicide mission in Kashmir, which has witnessed a wave of violence after security forces gunned down Burhan Wani, a poster boy of the militancy in the Valley, on July 8.
