A portion of a five-storey building, under renovation, collapsed at Behrambaug lane in Jogeshwari area, civic officials said, adding that no one was staying there.
In a similar incident, a portion of a six-storey building, opposite GPO office in CST, fell on a taxi parked there, officials said. No body was there in the vehicle, they said.
Fifteen incidents of tree falling were also reported from different parts of city and suburbs, officials said.
Complaints of water logging were reported from places like Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, Malad, Dahisar, Poisar and others.
However, train and air services were not affected due to the rains. All trains were running as per schedule, railway officials said.
Road traffic was slow, but there were no snarls on any of the arterial routes, officials said.
The Meteorology Department forecasts spells of rains and thundershowers accompanied by strong gusty winds in few parts of the city and suburbs on Wednesday.
