Indian society is finally gearing up to accept the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, and Manvendrasingh Gohil felt proud to report this to American television show host, Oprah Winfrey, during his second stint on her show last week.

Indian society is finally gearing up to accept the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, and Manvendrasingh Gohil felt proud to report this to American television show host, Oprah Winfrey, during his second stint on her show last week. Gohil, the prince of Rajpipla, who shot to fame when revealed his homosexuality in 2002, featured on Oprah three years ago in a show entitled ‘Gay around the world’.

“Back then, decriminalisation of homosexuality had not happened, and Mumbai did not have a Pride March,” said Gohil, who said Winfrey was happy on hearing about it.
