Maha employees, 25 pc attendance in Mantralaya, 75 pc in dist

About 25 per cent of Maharashtra Government employees were present for duty in the State Secretariat Mantralaya on Monday, despite the Government's order for compulsory attendance.

About 25 per cent of Maharashtra Government employees were present for duty in the State Secretariat Mantralaya on Monday, despite the Government's order for compulsory attendance.

"About 20-25 per cent of employees have come to work in Mantralaya today till morning 10 am and we expect more people to come till afternoon," Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Chandra Aiyengar told PTI.

The final figure of attendance in Mantralaya would be released after 12 pm, as the Government has arranged special buses for the employees from the Government colonies, she said.

Action would be taken against the employees as the Government had already issued the order for mandatory attendance on the day, she said.

At the district levels the attendance is about 75 per cent and all the district collectors are in touch via video conferencing, she said.
