One of the accused is identified as Satish Patil, but no arrests have been made so far.

The Dindoshi police said, Santosh Singh a resident of New Padmavati Nagar Housing Society at Goregaon, was on his way back home when he found the accused’ car parked in front of the building gate.

The police said when Singh approached Patil and his two friends, to ask them to clear the way they started verbally abusing him. The verbal feud led to a fist fight.

“Patil and his two friends began beating me endlessly. One of them flung a beer bottle at me but I managed to escape,” Singh said. He fell to the ground unconscious and the accused fled the spot after robbing him.

“As soon as I regained consciousness, I went to the Dindoshi police and filed a complaint,” said Singh.

“We have booked the accused for attempt to murder,” Sub-Inspector R. Suple said.
