“Blood and urine samples of 306 persons were sent to us. We have sent back the reports of the first batch comprising 30 persons. Around 90% of the samples — over 25 persons — have tested positive for drugs,” said an official from the FSL on condition of anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

“The drugs used include charas, ganja and cocaine,” he added.

The official said they would be sending out the result in several batches over the next few weeks. “We have been told to conduct tests in this case on priority basis. We need to check a total of 612 samples,” he said. The FSL report can be used as evidence in court.

On June 26, the Raigad police had busted a rave party at the Mount View Resort on the old Mumbai-Pune highway.

The police had rounded up 306 youngsters. Anil Jadhav, an inspector attached with the anti-narcotics cell, was also arrested.
