It’s been almost 30 years since they formed the band, but Indian rock ’n’ roll legends, Indus Creed, say that the band hasn’t changed much since.

We got in touch with the band’s guitarist, Mahesh Tinaikar, and asked if he thinks the band has matured, and he said, "I don’t think matured is the right word. Yes, it’s been 30 years, and our content has become more realistic over the years. Yet, we still are the same, creating and playing music, and actually making quite a good living from it."

The band that came up with an album in 2012, Evolve, however isn’t planning to release an album any time soon.

"I don’t think cutting an album will be the right thing to do now. What we are planning is to release a couple of songs every two months. That way, we can remain in the scene as well, play at concerts. Maybe, after we have released 10 songs or so, put them together in an album," he shares.

Ask him why the idea of an album does not appeal to them and Tinaikar explains, "I think that the value for music among listeners has gone down. You can download music for free, so now if you don’t like a particular song, you discard it, unlike the old times, where people bought records and actually spent time listening to them."

Another reason for nothaving an album, he says, is that one is missing from the scene for a good four to five months.

"We had to remain in the scene this time around, so we are working on two songs right now, and, if all goes well, we hope to launch them by May-end or June this year," he adds.
