Aiming to bring together sports and music in an unusual marriage, British producer Mark Ronson will present a novel soundtrack for the upcoming London Olympics. The athletes will also be the ambassaodors of the Move To The Beat campaign, which will gain momemtum as the games near. “I’ve been able to do something really unique, meeting these remarkable athletes and recording their sounds to use in this song,” says Ronson, who won three Grammy Awards in 2008 for Producer Of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Record of the Year (which he shared with Amy Winehouse).

Substituting bass notes with the sound of the release of an arrow from a bow and percussion sounds with the whiz of the arrow cutting through the air, or even fusing rhythmic movements of the athletes in the track, Ronson’s composition has been generating wide interest with its unique sonic scape.

Move To The Beat will soon be released as a single worldwide and the interesting creation of the song will be documented in a feature-length film. The song will also be promoted through TV commercials, mobile and digital platforms. “For me, it has been an exciting experience to work on this whole campaign,” says Ronson.
