The incident took place at the girl’s house in Ghookna along NH-58. Five teachers came to the girl’s house and asked her father to pay three months’ pending fees. Police said the family had not paid the fee and instead got the girl admitted to a different school.

“When the teachers came to her house, there was an altercation between them and her family. To teach the girl’s father a lesson, the teachers accused him of molesting them. The teachers then called police. The police arrived both the parties to the police station. In the meantime, the girl got depressed and hanged herself from a ceiling fan,” said Manish Mishra, circle officer (city).

The girl’s father Ratan Singh Tomar has lodged an FIR against the teachers.
