Anjum Moudgil wins bronze at Commonwealth Shooting Championships

Anjum Moudgil shot a total of 616.7 to finish behind silver medalist Seonaid Mcintosh (619.9) of Scotland. The gold went to Seonaid’s countrywoman Jennifer Mcintosh who shot a Commonwealth record score of 620.7.

Anjum Moudgil won her second medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Brisbane, winning a bronze in the women’s 50m Rifle Prone.

She shot a total of 616.7 to finish behind silver medalist Seonaid Mcintosh (619.9) of Scotland. The gold went to Seonaid’s countrywoman Jennifer Mcintosh who shot a Commonwealth record score of 620.7.

Anjum had won a silver in the 10m Air Rifle event earlier and now India’s tally from Rifle and Pistol events in the championship stands at 14.

Three Indians were leading the qualifications charts for the Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, with Gurpreet Singh topping the field at the end of the first precision stage with a score of 288. Neerak Kumar was in second position with 286 while youngster Anish Bhanwala was in third with 285.
