India missed opportunities galore, but still manage to overcome South Korea 1-0 to win Bronze.
It was a match which India should have won by at least three goal margin. However, thanks to the brilliance of the South Korean goalkeeper, they were restricted to just one second-half goal, which, however, was enough to fetch them the bronze.
The goal was scored by Sardar Singh in the 55th minute with a brilliant shot, from just inside the striking circle.
Some on targets shots were palmed away by the diving Korean keeper and India, as usual, showed some unimaginative thinking with their penalty corners. Somehow, that did not prove costly today.
Korean did try their best after India scored, getting three penalty corners in succession, but failed to breach the Indian citadel.
India had won the bronze in the last tournament as well.
