‘Good natured’ Andure’s arrest shocks family
Andure holds a master’s in commerce and works as an accountant in a cloth shop
The arrest of Sachin Andure, 26, by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has shocked his family members as well as his close associates in Aurangabad even as the probe agency termed it as a major arrest in Dabholkar’s murder case.
Andure, who holds a masters in commerce, works as an accountant at a cloth shop in Nirala Bazar at Aurangabad. His arrest has shocked the owner of the shop who said Andure was “good natured” and never indulged in any wrongdoing.
“We have never come across erratic or suspicious behaviour of Andure in the 10 years we have known him closely,” said Dilipkumar Sabu, owner of the shop.
According to his family members, Andure married Sheetal, his college friend, and they have a six- month old child. Sachin had completed his postgraduate degree in commerce from SP College in Aurangabad.
“CBI had a deadline to arrest a suspect and show it to the High Court which had reprimanded the agency for its slow-paced investigation. Under pressure, CBI arrested my husband without proof and has framed him in the case,” said Sheetal.
Sachin’s elder brother Pravin Andure, who works as a petrol pump attendant in Aurangabad, said, Sachin was arrested on cooked up charges. “ We belong to a poor family and our parents passed away in 2016. If my brother had to do such things, we would not have been so poor,” said Pravin. Andure’s father used to work at a Jewellery shop.
His facebook account had multiple posts showing his inclination towards hardline hindutva. While CBI officials said Sachin is an active member of Sanatan Sanstha, his family members refuted the claim.
