Pune man asks miscreants to not create ruckus in front of his house, gets beaten up
The accused was hitting two unidentified boys in front of the victim’s house when the latter intervened and tried to stop Shinde. Enraged, the accused came back later with a bat and hit the victim on the head.
A man was booked for attempted murder of a Yerawada resident who allegedly asked him not to create a ruckus in front of his house. The accused was identified as Shubham alias Ajay Shinde, a resident of Wadarvasti in Yerawada.
Shinde was hitting two unidentified boys in front of the house of Ramchandra Chavan, 42, a resident of Jantanagar in Yerawada, at around 9 pm on Saturday. Chavan intervened and tried to stop Shinde by asking him not to create nuisance in front of his house.
Shinde allegedly said, "Do you know who I am?" before Chavan asked him to leave the area. Later in the night, when Chavan was sitting with his sister in front of their house, Shinde came back with a bat and hit Chavan on his head with it.
Shinde was booked under Sections 307 (attempted murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Yerawada police station. The complaint in the matter was lodged by Babanrao Chavan, 77, father of the injured man. The police are on a lookout for Shinde.
Assistant police inspector (API) Rohini Shewale of Yerawada police station is investigating the case.
