Sharma, who is also supervising the community policing initiative, also visited the Saanjh centres and issued directions to the staff deployed there to work with dedication and provide services to the public in a timely manner under the Right to Service Act.

"Services are being started to provide passport verification for Rs 100, arms licence verification for Rs 200, permission for holding fairs for Rs 500, permission for loudspeakers for Rs 100, no-objection certificates for petrol pumps, marriage palaces, hotels and cinema halls for Rs 500, and renewal of arms dealer licences for Rs 500," he said.

In a meeting with police officials, Sharma took stock of the investigations in cases of sensational crime. The ADGP issued directions to officials, asking them to deal with snatchers and drug peddlers with an iron hand. He also visited Police DAV Public School and took stock of the education and sports training being imparted there.
