Students from 35 city schools participated in the Sahodaya Inter School Folk Group Dance Competition held at BCM Basant City on Thursday.

Ravneet Kaur Arora, head of Luxmi Ladies Club and Gayatri Ladies Club, was the chief guest, while Kirpal Singh and Neelam were the jury members.

As part of the event, students from various schools performed on different songs and displayed various dance forms from Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, etc.

Bal Bharti School, Dugri, bagged the first prize, Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road, came second, while GNI Senior Secondary School, Model Town, came third. BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, got the consolation prize.

Principal Amarjyoti Chawla congratulated the winners.

RB Khanna, educational advisor, BCM Institutions; and Vandana Shahi, principal, BCM School, Basant Avenue, were also present.
