Naib tehsildar of Goniana Raja Ravinder Singh, who had been deputed as a duty magistrate to check law and order at a centre for the All India Pre-medical and Pre-dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) on Saturday, had to face the people's wrath after he came to the centre in his 'blue beacon' car with his daughter, who was also to appear in the test.

After the naib tehsildar parked his car at the centre, Delhi Public School on the Goniana road, he came out of it along with his daughter and entered the centre. The parents of the other candidates allegedly noticed that his daughter, who was also a candidate for the test, was allowed to enter the centre without necessary security check-up.

The enraged parents raised slogans against the official and the administration and blocked the gate of the school to in protest.

As he realised the situation, Ravinder Singh called up the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and the deputy commissioner and requested them to change his duty as his daughter was also appearing in the test at the same centre. After his request, naib tehsildar of Nathana Puneet Bansal was deputed as a duty magistrate there and he left the centre.

Ravinder said that his daughter had to appear in the examination at the same centre where he had been deputed as duty magistrate she came along with me in the car. She entered the centre with me but she was subjected to the necessary security check-up at the gate.

"Parents of some candidates, who had come late and were not allowed to enter the centre got an excuse and started protesting outside the gate," Ravinder said.

"After Bansal took charge of the centre, I left it immediately," he said.
