On Wednesday, the father of the victim lodged a complaint against the accused at Sahnewal police station.

In his complaint, the father stated that his daughter was a Class-12 student at a school near Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana.

He further said that on Saturday, when his daughter was on her way to the school, the accused kidnapped her and sped off in a car.

Station house officer at Sahnewal police station inspector Anil Bhanot said the girl had not complained about physical harassment and therefore, a medical examination of the girl had not been conduced.

If the girl complained of harassment, then the medical examination would be performed, he said.

Bhanot further said a case under sections 365 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code had been registered against the accused Vicky, Shehzad and Babbu and efforts to nab them were on.
