Addressing the pass-outs, the DIG said that their real test would start when they would be deployed on the borders. He hoped that the jawans would not only strengthen the borders but also help in maintaining the internal security of the country.

He advised the new recruits to give priority to human values while discharging their duties.

Commandant (training) Sandip Chanan revealed that the recruits had been trained in border management, internal security duty, human rights, first aid, weapon handling, drills, intelligence, physical training, unarmed combat, search operations and field craft.

They would be imparted special combat training before they joined their field duty, he informed. He revealed that the trainees had come from different parts of the country and some of them were highly qualified.

Yashwant Rao Chawan and Chandan Dubey were adjudged the best trainees in the batch.
