GNDU to conduct admission in B Tech on basis of Class-12 result
The online admission to B Tech in sugar and alcohol technology of Guru Nanak Dev University will be done till June 15. The counselling for admission will be held on June 26.

The admission will be done on the basis of merit of the Class-12 non-medical examinations.
Prof RS Kaler, head of the department, said skilled professionals of sugar and alcohol were in great demand to meet the growing demands of ethanol as a bio-fuel.
While talking about the placement opportunities, he said the students of the department were not only placed in sugar industries of Punjab, Haryana, western UP and Karnataka, but also in distilleries, breweries and wineries.
The department has achieved international standards with Prof Satindar Kaur having been appointed referee of the International Commission of Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA). She is also visiting Cambridge University in July to attend the 28th ICUMSA meet.

GNDU professor gets UGC project
Amritsar: The department of Law of Guru Nanak Dev University has bagged a major research project of Rs 4.94 lakh from the University Grants Commission. Under this, Dr Rattan Singh, head of the department, will conduct a study on the topic 'Right to Education: Some pitfalls and policies of government, with special reference to Punjab'.
