Lal Singh, the victim’s father, said that he and his wife had left the house in the morning while his daughter was away at college.

Rohit turned up the music, which made tenants living on the ground floor of the house believe that he was listening to music before taking the extreme step. The teenager was found hanging from the fan by his friends who came to meet him. While the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, the victim is believed to have been suffering from depression for the last few days.

His body has been sent to the Civil Hospital for the post- mortem examination.

ASI Meet Ram, who is investigating the matter, said Rohit’s family believes that some issues related to his college had been troubling him since the last few days.
